In 2001, while in college, he invented a way to express his love for America and for baseball - an American flag made from cutting up a few tattered baseballs used in practice. Shortly thereafter, he created The Baseball Seams Company, obtained copyrights, launched a web site, and began selling his artwork on retail and wholesale markets. Rueckert obtained his Bachelors degree in Accounting from Truman State and spends his days working for Wells Fargo Advisors in the Finance Department. Simply stated, an 11-stripe flag can be made evenly from three baseballs.</p> <p>Also, a 13 stripe flag also would not comfortably fit in an 8x10 picture frame. In Fall of 2001, Rueckert's college roommate was given a baseball seam bracelet as a gift from a friend. Rueckert decided to try and make a bracelet himself and even added velcro to make it more useable. One day, he stretched the bracelet out on his desk and thought it looked similar to a red stripe of an American flag. The rest, as they say, is history. The first flag Rueckert produced is the image seen in the America's Game lithograph prints and t-shirts.
